Ask every successful company what is important to them in their marketing and sales and your will consistently hear the response “to separate and differentiate ourselves from our competition.”
Now ask yourself the same question, “How am I differentiating myself from my competitors?” This question requires that you know who your competitors are. Not only knowing who they are but investigating their marketing, their messaging, their business. In doing so you will learn much, not only about them but also about your own business too.
Checking out competitor websites is just scratching the surface. Common among these sites you will see the pics from the before and after galleries and read some short sentence reference testimonies. But how do you differentiate yourself from this too common message?
May I challenge you to take your game up a notch? How about doing what the best home improvement shows do – video not only the before and after but more important is that video of the customer “WOW!” moment.
Look at this way. Before and after pictures at best on your website can only gain from your prospect viewer a “that is nice.” But if you want to engage your prospect viewer into becoming a desiring customer, have them experience your customers’ “WOW!” experiences and they will begin to internalize another’s moment for themselves.
WOW not only your customers but getting your website prospects to want to get that WOW too will grow your business.
